BIO

Sarah is a passionate educator who believes in empowering others to creatively lead outside the box by never saying “no”, but by asking “how can we?”.  In her role as the Manager of Instructional Technology & Digital Learning for the Worcester Public Schools, she works daily with district and school leadership to leverage technology and innovation to meet the needs of all learners. She has extensive experience as a technology and professional development leader in different settings including an education service agency for suburban districts and in a technical high school, but her calling is in urban education. She has spent two decades coaching educators and leaders in using technology for meaningful learning, professional development, engagement, collaboration, communication, district efficiency, board meeting facilitation and workflow and has presented on these topics nationally.

Sarah was named the MassCue Administrator of the Year in 2019 and is an appointed member of the MA DESE Digital Learning Advisory Council and a member of the Google for Education K-12 North American Advisory Board. She is currently pursuing an EdD at Northeastern University with a focus on how district leadership can leverage technology to impact student learning. She has a Masters in Educational Leadership and Masters in Educational Technology.

Sarah lives in Worcester with her husband and four children and enjoys travelling, reading, Netflix binging and is currently building a very complicated dollhouse.
